There's something about Clem Curtis and The Foundations - soulful, funky... cookin'!
Clem Curtis is the original singer from The Foundations - the hugely successful multi-racial band who had a string of hits including Baby now that I've found you, Bad Old Days and Build me up Buttercup.
Originally formed in the late 60's, The Foundations' first single - Baby now that I've found you - sold in excess of 1 million records in the US alone before becoming No. 1 in the UK charts. That was way back in 1967 but their music continues to endure and reach new generations, regularly featuring in films and TV ad campaigns to this day; perhaps the most famous being the use of Build me up Buttercup in the 1998 smash comedy - There's something about Mary - starring Cameron Diaz.
Together with a tight and dynamic band, Clem Curtis is still wooing audiences across the UK and Europe with his own unique voice and style. The current line up are well established as firm favourites on the 60's circuit and with recent appearances on Night Fever, GMTV and The Clive James Show their reputation continues to grow.
